Democracy Trailblazers and Operation Forward present
No tricks. Just calls.
Not left. Not right. Forward.
Saturday, October 31, 2026 Statewide across Alabama Ages 10–18 + families
The goal: 1,000 young people. 10,000 family conversations. One Saturday.
How CALLoween works
Ten calls. One ask.
Parents say who
Parents approve a list of up to ten family members and trusted adults their child may call. Nobody else gets a call.
They get ready
On CALLoween, young people ages 10 to 18 gather for a calling party built for them: food and candy. Together they go over the simple script.
Then they call
Each caller works through their list with the same approved script, and every conversation ends the same way: make a plan to vote on November 3.
“Hey Fam! I don’t know if you have a plan to vote, but I’m not old enough, so please do so on my behalf and send me a pic of your sticker when you do!
You are my family. Please help protect my future.”
Strictly nonpartisan
It’s not politics. It’s personal.
Not for Democrats. Not for Republicans. For people.
When a child asks Grandma to vote, it isn’t a campaign. It’s family. CALLoween keeps it that way with four hard rules:
- Young people never discuss candidates, political parties, or ballot issues.
- They never ask anyone how they plan to vote.
- They only call adults their parents approved in writing.
- Every call happens at a supervised CALLoween event site, and parents are welcome.
Who is behind this
This started with students.
CALLoween did not begin with politicians or a political party. It began with middle school students thinking about their future and asking a serious question: who is going to protect our rights and our future?
Civic engagement is not an election-season activity. Democracy Trailblazers works in Alabama schools and communities all year: registering voters, developing young leaders, and building relationships with people who vote and people who don’t.
CALLoween is led by Operation Forward, our youth-led movement inspiring families to vote, because the most trusted voice in any house belongs to the people who live there.

$20 gets the shirt.
And gets out the vote.
This is not politics for us. It is personal. We want our families voting to protect our future. A $20 donation helps Operation Forward empower young people statewide to inspire their own families to vote.
As our thank you, we’ll send you an exclusive #MyFamilyVotes t-shirt to wear proudly on Election Day. Together, we’ll show Alabama, and the nation, that democracy begins at home.
